Enslaved has been around since the beginning of the Norwegian black metal movement. I consider them one of the "true" black metal bands. they have stayed true to the viking mythos (the real reason black metal started NOT satanism) and have kept the same feel and energy since day one.. they prove it with their new two track EP called "Thorn". Here are the two songs on the EP. yes its only a two track EP, but it gets the job done. they have dropped some of the new extreme rock sounds of recent in favor for the older sparse and more harsh melodies. Did i mention this was recorded in a forest?
